According to the recommendations, 75 to 90 mg amoxicillin/kg body weight/day in 2 divided doses are usually used for the treatment of acute bacterial sinusitis in children weighing less than 40 kg. That is, for a child weighing 30 kg, a dose of 2250 to 2700 mg/day can be used. There is 1000 mg of amoxicillin in 10 ml of suspension, so this dose is not within the recommended limit.
It's a good idea to contact your doctor and make sure that the dosage has been chosen correctly - there may be a reason why your doctor indicated the use of a lower dose.
