Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible vision loss in developed countries, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). A key factor in the treatment of glaucoma is the timely diagnosis of the disease and the implementation of treatment. The treatment of glaucoma usually consists of the use of eye drops that lower intraocular pressure. Often, the use of these drops leads to dry eyes - in this case, it is recommended to additionally use moisturizing eye drops. In case of insufficient effectiveness of glaucoma drugs, laser or surgical treatment is carried out.
