The guidelines for anticoagulant treatment after cardioversion recommend the use of an anticoagulant (e.g. Eliquis, as in your case) for 4 weeks after the procedure. Further use of the drug depends on the risk of thromboembolic complications, which the doctor evaluates individually in each patient. Therefore, I recommend that you consult your doctor to make sure that the medicine is to be discontinued or if it is necessary to extend the treatment.
