Gastritis is one of the common side effects of Saxenda. This symptom may be an indication for discontinuation of therapy. Therefore, the observed side effect should be reported as soon as possible to the doctor, who will decide on further proceedings. According to the manufacturer: "It is not recommended to use this drug in patients with acute gastroenteritis causing a delay in gastric emptying (so-called gastroparesis) or with inflammatory bowel disease."
