The use of macrolide antibiotics (e.g. Klacid) is not recommended during treatment with Cyclaid. These antibiotics can significantly increase the concentration of ciclosporin (the active ingredient in Cyclaid) in the blood, causing its toxic effects on the kidneys. If you need to use this antibiotic, your doctor should adjust your dose of Cyclaid accordingly for the duration of your treatment.
