Yes, Alugastrin reduces the absorption of Ascofer (and the iron in any other preparation as well). If both drugs are required, the maximum possible interval should be maintained. Iron absorption interferes with many other drugs and foods (such as coffee, tea, eggs, whole grain bakeries and fiber). It is worth remembering this and taking iron at a different time of the day and accompanied by vitamin C, which improves its absorption. A common side effect of using Ascofer is abdominal pain and enterogastric disorders. In such a situation, you can consider changing the preparation to another - e.g. with a gradual release (it will be milder for the stomach) or with a more absorbable form. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/7615/ascofer-drazetki/ulotka/10845 https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/3972/alugastrin-zawiesina/ulotka/10332 I link to the article on anemia: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/leki-na-anemie
