Can Lamotrix cause fever?
Good morning, I take 2x a day Lamotrix 50 mg. I have been struggling with fever for a week without any additional flu symptoms, etc. Can lamotrix in combination with other drugs cause such side effects?

Fever while taking Lamotrix may occur in the course of hypersensitivity syndrome. It may be accompanied by symptoms such as generalised lymphadenopathy, swelling of the face or rash, and in rare cases may lead to disseminated intravascular coagulation and multi-organ failure. Early signs of hypersensitivity (e.g. fever, generalised lymphadenopathy) may occur without a clear rash. This is a very rare side effect, but if you experience these symptoms, you should see a doctor immediately to rule out hypersensitivity. What other drugs do you have in mind in the question above?
