Please answer: Is nebu dose isotonic the same as 0.9% saline solution? For two weeks, on the recommendation of the doctor, I used nebu dose hypertonic and Tussicom 600 - with poor results. That's how much I was supposed to use them. No improvement. Can I now try on my own to inhale the preparations I ask? One or the other and how long can I use them? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Nebu Dose Isotonic and 0.9% saline solution are the same thing. You can use this type of solutions for inhalation without consulting a doctor. The solution can be used until the symptoms disappear. However, if after about 2 weeks you do not observe improvement - it is worth consulting a doctor again. Saline inhalations are primarily designed to cleanse and moisturize the nasal mucosa and respiratory tract - if you are accompanied by a productive cough, intense inhalations may intensify the symptoms. Such inhalation is indicated primarily when you are accompanied by a dry cough and dryness of the mucous membranes or a feeling of nasal congestion.
