Is it normal that when using the Levosert IUD I do not have bleeding and I walk around irritable?

Hello. In November 2021, I had an insole on. Initially, the period lasted four max 5 days with the same spotting and abruptly cut off. Recently, only one day with a very weak and now none. I constantly walk around irritable, small things cause a change in mood. Is this normal?

You did not give the name of the insert. As for Levosert, please read on. An intrauterine device with hormones can change menstruation in such a way that there will be spotting, irregular, shorter or longer menstruation, more or less intense bleeding or no bleeding at all. With each month of using the system, a gradual reduction in the number and number of days of bleeding duration can be found. In some women, there is a complete disappearance of menstrual bleeding - this is normal. As for irritability - it is a side effect of the drug and should not "normally" occur. Please note that side effects of medicines should be reported to your doctor or individually. By reporting side effects, you help other patients, including your loved ones, who may also need the same medicine one day. This step also allows you to gather more information on the safety of medicinal products and update data on them. We wrote about how to do this here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
