Is Beclonasal Aqua the same group of medicines as Budesonide? I have a confirmed allergy to Budesonide and I did not tell my ENT when he wrote a prescription for Beclonasal Aqua

Beclonasal Aqua contains beclomethasone dipropionate - a substance other than budesonide, but from the same therapeutic group, since both compounds belong to glucocorticosteroids. Applied to the nasal mucosa reduce its inflammation and swelling. Allergy to one substance from a given group does not mean that you certainly have an allergy to another, although in immunology there are known cases of cross-allergies (to several similar substances). The doctor should be provided with all information about allergies or medications used - this allows you to make a rational therapeutic decision. In the described case, it seems justified to contact an ENT specialist.
