Są to dwa zupełnie różne preparaty. Avilin to wyrób medyczny przeznaczony do stosowania miejscowego na skórę w celu łagodzenia podrażnień, szczególnie w okolicach pocierających o siebie fałd skórnych i odparzeń. Z kolei Avilin Gastro to preparat do picia, który działa na błonę śluzową przewodu pokarmowego jak opatrunek, przylegając do nabłonka i zastępując naturalną barierę śluzową. Wskazaniem do stosowania Avilinu Gastro są dolegliwości związane z chorobą wrzodową żołądka i dwunastnicy, nieżytem żołądka, nadkwaśnością, zgagą, refluksem.
