Is it possible that I have SIBO with bloating, but without gases?

I was diagnosed with sibo, but there are no excessive gases, come on I have bloating and at sibo night there is excess gas. Is it possible?

W SIBO może występować wiele objawów związanych ze złym funkcjonowaniem przewodu pokarmowego. Jednym z nich są wzdęcia będące właśnie objawem nadmiernej produkcji gazów w jelitach. "Gazy" to niekomfortowa manifestacja wzdęć, gdy nagromadzone powietrze uwalnia się z jelit.

Trudno mi natomiast wypowiadać się na temat prawidłowości diagnozy - jest to kompetencją lekarza, który z pewnością wziął pod uwagę wszystkie zgłaszane przez Panią/Pana objawy.

Jednym z podstawowych badań pozwalających stwierdzić przerost flory bakteryjnej jelit jest test oddechowy. Używa się cukrów jako substratu i mierzy zawartość gazów (np. wodór, metan) w wydychanym powietrzu w odstępach co 20 minut. Bardzo rzadko, ze względu na koszt oraz inwazyjność wykonywany jest aspirat jelita cienkiego.
