Is intermenstrual bleeding and spotting a side effect of Orgametril?
9.99 zł

I've been taking orgametril since the 11th day of my cycle to stop menstruation, very scanty after 4 days of use, it clearly stopped and the doctor told me to go down to 1 at night, around the 11th day I got light bleeding, but only. From the night then it calms down, in total I was supposed to take 20 days and I am exhausted from these spottings, bleeding, could this be a side effect, I will add that I am 46 years old and very lazy and irregular menstrual periods in general, I do not tolerate the drug well

Intermenstrual bleeding and spotting are rare when Orgametril is used on a regular basis. They are more likely to occur in the first 2 months of taking the drug and the frequency decreases over time.

In most cases, a short-term increase in the dose of Orgametril will stop spotting/bleeding. Dose escalation should be consulted with your doctor.

Adverse reactions should be reported. This allows us to gather more information about the safety of medicines and keep their data up to date, which can help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane

Adverse drug reactions can also be reported individually: https://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-lecznicze/monitorowanie-bezpieczeństwa-leków/zg moose-side-effect-0

I'm attaching a helpful article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow
