Can hypersensitivity to Epiduo (redness, swelling) appear only after a month of using the drug?

Hello!
According to the doctor's prescription, I applied Epiduo gel at night for a month. There was no allergic reaction, the face became better. There was a break in use for a week and when reapplied, after a break, in the morning the face was very red, hot and swollen. Is such a reaction possible, given that the previous month of use did not give any side effects? Thank you

These symptoms are quite common when you are taking Epiduo. A hypersensitivity reaction may occur some time after the start of treatment (in which case treatment should be discontinued).

Hypersensitivity may result, for example, from micro-damage and irritation of the skin during a previous treatment or as a result of exposure to other factors (cosmetics, sun) that caused increased sensitivity to the active substances contained in Epiduo.

I encourage you to use gentle cleansing and moisturizing cosmetics until the allergic symptoms disappear, e.g.:

On our website, you can check the availability of cosmetics and place an order with pick-up at the pharmacy or home delivery.
