Good morning, the psychiatrist has prescribed the drug zotral to the autistic child. I've been taking it for 4 weeks. There is no improvement in sight. The child is agitated, he pours through the reca. He can't focus on anything. Only speech and toilet improved. How long does it take for Zotral to work? Is there a possibility that the drug is not working yet?

The first effects of Zotral are usually seen 2 weeks after starting treatment. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, the patient must wait up to 4-8 weeks for the full therapeutic effect, on average it is 4-6 weeks.
In the case of children with autism, the response to medication may vary, and the results may be individual. Some children may show improvement after a relatively short period of time, while others may see effects after a longer period of therapy. It is also important to note that not all children always react the same to a given medication.
