What should be the dosage of Amotaxu Dis for a 44kg child?
Good morning.
The daughter is 15 years old and weighs 44 kg.
She was prescribed Amotaks Dis 1g. Dose every 8 hours one tablet.
Antibiotic prescribed for suspected chronic sinusitis, chronic runny nose and headaches.
Is this dose too high, is it correct?

The dosage of Amotaxu Dis for adults and children over 40 kg for the treatment of respiratory tract infections is 1.5 to 2 g twice daily or 1 g three times daily. A dosage of 1g every 8 hours is within the recommended norms.
