What happens if I take Augmentin on an empty stomach?

Good morning, I have been taking the antibiotic augmentin for a few days, but this morning I overslept and unfortunately I did not manage to eat breakfast before taking the tablet. I know that there may be stomach aches and nausea, but can anything else happen? I take a probiotic once a day.

To @Carla:

Yes, you can take Augmentin after breakfast with milk. However, it is worth remembering that in order to minimize the occurrence of potential gastrointestinal intolerance and optimize absorption, the drug should be taken at the beginning of a meal.

To minimize the occurrence of possible gastrointestinal intolerance and to optimize the absorption of amoxicillin with clavulanic acid, Augmentin is recommended to consume Augmentin at the beginning of a meal. As you wrote, using Augmentin on an empty stomach may lead to gastrointestinal symptoms. In addition, other consequences of taking the drug on an empty stomach are unlikely.
