Is it possible that the orthopedist recommended me a dosage of 2x2 tablets of cartexan 400 mg? How often is this medicine taken (in what doses)?

The standard dosing schedule for Cartexan is to take 2 capsules (800 mg) as one dose per day. In more severe cases, the recommended dose is 1200 mg, i.e. 3 capsules a day for the first 4-6 weeks of treatment, then 800 mg in one daily dose until the end of the three-month treatment period. After a 3-month period of use, a -month break in taking the drug is recommended. The daily dose recommended by the orthopedist is higher than recommended. However, the doctor has the right to treatment outside the official indications, the so-called off-label. Then, based on his own knowledge and experience, he selects the dose of the drug to the individual needs of the patient. However, if you have any doubts, please contact your doctor again.
