Why can't my dog see any improvement from the antibiotic?
Good morning, In the swab taken from my dog's throat it was stated: Escherichia coli +++ Staphylococcus intermedius MLSb +++ Neisseria spp. +++ The swab was taken after two antibiotic treatments did not bring the expected results. Symptoms include coughing, hoarseness and very thick saliva in the throat. We are currently administering a third antibiotic selected after indicating an antibiogram. Unfortunately, the effects are still not visible. Please help and thank you very much!

Properly conducted antibiotic therapy based on an antibiogram and an assessment of microbial susceptibility should be effective. Unfortunately, it is difficult to assess what causes the lack of improvement in your dog - the described situation should be consulted with a veterinarian.
