Thiocodin maintains its maximum level in the blood for 1 to 2 hours. The antitussive effect lasts up to 4-8 hours. If you use the drug in accordance with the instructions contained in the leaflet and abuse the preparation, then the time interval of about 5-6 hours from the moment of taking the tablet to the moment of sitting in front of the steering wheel should be sufficient. I encourage you to read the leaflet of the drug and possibly consider the use of other antitussive preparations that do not interfere with psychomotor functions to such a large extent, e.g. Levopront syrup: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/92559/levopront-syrop/ulotka/65098
