Good morning, the daughter (4l) for several days has a wet cough at night and in the morning during the day sporadically. Yesterday we were at the doctor got Levopront (3×5), Nasomentin (2×1), Otrivin Kids (3×1) and Nebudose hypertonic (2×1). Yesterday after giving Levopront, the daughter did not have a cough but this morning she had a very severe coughing attack. Continue to administer these medications or stop?

It is difficult to say whether the observed "coughing attack" was associated with the administration of Levopront. It is a syrup that acts only on the symptoms, that is, it inhibits the cough reflex. For this reason, and especially in the case of a wet cough, it is recommended to use it only if necessary at night, so as not to inhibit cough during the day, which is designed to remove the secretion remaining in the respiratory tract. If the child does not have problems sleeping at night due to coughing, then Levopront syrup can be discontinued.
