Can feeling "current" at the site of the Versatis patch be an adverse effect of the drug?

For 2 days I have been using patches for neuropathic pain of both heels, manifested by burning pain. This pain occurs only at night. For 2 days we have been applying the Versatis patch and I have additionally such a gentle, but unpleasant pain e like a current along the nerve. Could this be a side effect of the drug?

Side effects of the Versatis patch include the occurrence of rashes, itching, burning in the area of sticking the patch. I encourage you to consult the symptoms with your doctor. Perhaps the felt "currents" are a symptom of burning skin after applying the patch, and perhaps they are a symptom of, for example, the severity of the disease. Versatis are patches with a local anesthetic effect. The patch can be applied for up to 12 hours. Perhaps shortening the time of single use of the patch will reduce the pains felt: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/82222/versatis-plaster/ulotka/192147 If you consider the pain as a side effect of Versatis, I encourage you to report them. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
