Even with the problem with the availability of Medikinet CR 10 mg, the pharmacist cannot replace Medikinet 10 mg with the same prescription. These drugs have a different way of releasing the active substance. It should be known that the amount of methylphenidate hydrochloride in Modified Release Tablets (CR) absorbed after once daily administration is comparable to the amount absorbed after twice daily administration of this medicine in the form of immediate-release tablets (regular Medikinet). Therefore, even if you decide to take Medikinet instead of Medikinet CR, you should first consult a doctor who will determine the new dosage method.
