Can I use Lactovaginal after cytology?
Hi I wanted to ask if today I had a cytology done in the morning, in the evening I can use a vaginal globule Lactovaginal or is it better to wait and take it tomorrow? Thank you in advance for your reply

A special procedure is very important before the Pap smear, but I have not met with any special recommendations after it. If you have indications to start using Lactovagal, then I do not see any obstacles to start after cytology. If spotting or bleeding occurs after collection, you can wait for it to subside. However, as I mentioned, for a few days before the examination, no vaginal preparations should be used, as well as it is recommended to avoid intercourse during this time. This could disrupt the appearance of the cells under the microscope and affect the result of the study.
