Is Cipronex safe and what casing would fit it?

Hi I was prescribed a sore stomach down antibiotic cipronex with suspected inflammation of the urinary tract but I am very afraid to take it I do not know if it will do me more harm than good so I wanted to ask if this antibiotic is safe and what casing would suit me? (the lady in the pharmacy did not recommend anything for a casing)

Cipronex is absolutely not a safe drug. It can cause permanent damage to mitochondrial DNA, according to URPL recommendations it should only be used in cases of severe bacterial infections when other antibiotics are not indicated or will not be effective. Fluoroquinolones should not be used empirically and in cases where the bacterial infection may resolve on its own or treatment may be carried out with other antibiotics.

Drugs available for pharmacy sale are checked for safety. Any drug - including Cipronex - may or may not cause side effects. The manufacturer of the drug is obliged to inform the patient about all possible side effects that may be related to the use of his preparation, but this does not mean that everyone will see all of them. You can find a list of them in the leaflet: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/17917/cipronex-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka/131353 The information attached to the medicine contains important guidelines that should be analysed before using it. Such a benefit-risk assessment should be made by a doctor familiar with your medical history. Please do not worry in advance about the effects you write about, but focus on the correct implementation of therapy, which is the key to avoiding them. Fear of possible side effects can hinder the treatment process and it is this that can have a greater impact on the occurrence of side effects than the drug itself. Stress before reaching for the drug can lead to abandonment of therapy, which in consequences can be much worse for health than possible side effects that may or may not occur. The warnings contained in the leaflet must not be underestimated, but common sense should be maintained. If your doctor has prescribed a medication, it means that he thinks taking it is more beneficial for you than not being treated. The drug may or may not cause side effects, while if left untreated, the disease can worsen, cause adverse changes in the body or cause complications. While you are taking Cipronex, you can take any probiotic you want. Examples can be found here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/probiotyki Please take it 2 hours after the antibiotic.
