In response to the great interest of patients, a non-reimbursed drug Ozempic from parallel imports appeared in pharmacies. The discount is available to patients who meet the following reimbursement criteria: "Type 2 diabetes, in patients before insulin inclusion, treated with at least two oral hypoglycemic drugs for at least 6 months, with HbA1c ≥ 8%, with obesity defined as BMI ≥35 kg / m2 and very high cardiovascular risk understood as: 1) confirmed cardiovascular disease, or 2) damage to other organs manifested by: proteinuria or left ventricular hypertrophy or retinopathy, or 3)the presence of 2 or more of the main risk factors listed below: -age ≥ 55 years for men, ≥60 years for women, -dyslipidemia, -hypertension, -smoking". Whether the patient meets the indications for reimbursement is decided by the doctor.
