Pirolam należy nakładać na zmieniony chorobowo paznokieć. Jeżeli na odrastającym paznokciu nie ma zmian grzybicznych, to nie trzeba go smarować Pirolamem. Zdrowy, odrastający paznokieć służy do oceny efektów terapeutycznych.
