Is there a preparation with nitrofurantoin available in Poland?

Good morning, in Poland, unfortunately, there is currently no preparation with nitrofurantoin available. It is a substance belonging to the group of antibacterial drugs, the so-called nitrofuran derivatives. The spectrum of action of this group of drugs is very wide, however, different derivatives differ from each other in certain properties. Nitrofurantoin not available in Poland and available furazidine (furagin) after absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, are quickly eliminated from the body by the kidneys. This makes the basic indication for the use of both substances are urinary tract infections. During frequently recurring urinary tract infections, please remember about the possibility of prophylactic use of cranberry preparations.
