The antiviral substance acyclovir belongs to group L2 in the Hale classification. This means that it has been classified as a safe drug during lactation, probably compatible with breastfeeding. Its use is defined as very low risky for breastfeeding and the fed baby. It may pass into milk in quantities that do not affect the baby. A list of preparations used in the treatment of herpes is presented in the following link: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/opryszczka-wargowa You can read more about how to effectively treat herpes in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-skutecznie-leczyc-opryszczke
