Izolowany krwinkomocz może pochodzić zarówno z dolnego odcinka układu moczowego, jak i z samych nerek.
Bardzo istotne jest czy przyjmuje Pan/Pani leki na stałe, czy są zdiagnozowane choroby przewlekłe, czy bezpośrednio przed badanie obecne było krwawienie miesięczne, czy w przeciągu tygodnia przed badanie nie wystąpiła infekcja dróg moczowych. U kobiet bezobjawowa bakteriuria nie wymaga leczenia. Warto ponowić badanie krwi oraz poszerzyć o badanie kierunku chorób nerek i USG z pełnym pęcherzem oceniające układ moczowy. Istotna jest weryfikacja ilości szczawianów i diagnostyka w kierunku ewentualnej kamicy dróg moczowych.
