I took my first Qlaira pill in the evening right after there was a slight bleeding - am I fully protected after 16 days?

Good morning. I have been taking Qlaira for twenty days. This is my first pack. I took the first pill in the evening just after there was a slight bleeding of brown color (this is how my menstruation begins for a long time). From the morning, the bleeding was already normal with a purely blood-red color. I had unprotected intercourse after 16 days of using the drug. Was I already fully secured? I am afraid that I should start taking the drug a day later, with full bleeding.

Your description indicates the correct start of using Qlaira tablets (i.e. on the first day of bleeding, even if the intensity and coloration are different than on the other days of menstruation). If the medicine was taken correctly - the right pills on specific days and at a fixed time - I see no reason why contraception should be ineffective.
