Is the prevailing view among many groups that birth control pills protect only when the body gets used to it real?

Since when am I protected from pregnancy and can I practice a full ratio if I started using orlifique tablets on the first day of the period? I've read that I've been protected since then, but I wonder if there's any effect on the fact that I've never used hormonal contraception before and, for example, "the body needs to get used to it"? (in many groups there is such a view and I began to hesitate)
